Responsibilities:
- Write the technical instructions necessary for component repair activities and shop support.
- Design tools, testing equipment and software to test and certify these same components.
- Research solutions to improve reliability and reduce costs on components.
- Review equipment service bulletins (SBs) for the entire product portfolio; to recommend reliability or cost improvements.
- Control the reliability of components in collaboration with key customers.
- Responsible for technical investigations into customer component issues.
- Actively support production to solve problems in a timely manner.
- Review maintenance manuals and establish requirements for test equipment, technician training and materials.
- Manage individual projects throughout the NPI (“New Product Introduction”) process. • Prepare financial justifications to support new products.
- Assist in the training of technicians.
- Review and implement technical repairs to recover parts.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a similar environment in aeronautics, ideally in an MRO department.
- University Degree in Engineering related to the field of aerospace.
- Member of the OIQ.
- Very strong knowledge of engineering and quality systems in an aeronautical environment.
- In-depth experience with avionics components.
- Knowledge of philosophy 5 S.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English for reading and understanding maintenance manuals.
- Strategic thinker, strong analytical and problem-solving skills; attention to detail.
- Team player and interpersonal skills to build relationships with employees.
- Organizational skills, results-oriented, flexible.
Must have the right to work in Canada
Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience
