Sheet Metal Workers / Fitters

Job Description:

We are looking for  skilled Sheet Metal Workers to join our team. This position offers a contract of at least 6 months with the possibility of overtime. Candidates must provide their own tools and be ready to work a 36-hour week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Measure, cut, shape, and join sheet metal materials using hand and power tools.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and conduct repairs as necessary.
• Ensure all work complies with industry safety standards and regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and meet project deadlines.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Worker
• NVQ level 3
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools for metalworking.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials.
• Must provide own tools.

Work Schedule:

• 36-hour work week.
• Possible overtime as needed.
• Contract length: At least 6 months.
